With some of Africa’s best wildlife and safari guides, beautiful Zimbabwe has reclaimed its celestial status in the safari realm. On this journey you will discover the elephants of Hwange National Park, the Matusadona National Park on Lake Kariba, the remote and wild Sapi Reserve in the Mana Pools region and marvel at the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Accommodation is in luxury tented camps and lodges with a variety of safari activities including game drives, walks and boat trips.

Your discovery of Zimbabwe commences on arrival in Victoria Falls, with lunch at the iconic Victoria Falls Hotel and a visit to see the falls know locally as the ‘Smoke that Thunders’. Continue to Mpala Jena, your intimate and luxurious camp in the Zambezi National Park.

Today enjoy a morning and afternoon activity in the Zambezi National Park. Choose from game drives, guided walking safaris and boat trips on the Zambezi River.

Depart Victoria Falls by light aircraft south to Hwange National Park, the country’s largest. Hwange is legendary for its vast array of wildlife, particularly the massive herds of elephant and buffalo. Your base is the exclusive and luxurious Linkwasha Camp situated near the famed Ngamo Plains, one of the best game viewing locations in Hwange National Park.

Spend two days exploring Hwange. This park is one of the best for predators – lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah are regularly sighted, along with the smaller African wildcat, serval, honey badger, civet and spotted hyena. Bird life in the area is also prolific, with more than 400 species found.

Fly to Lake Kariba where you are transferred to Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, boasting one of Africa’ finest wilderness locations with elevated position on a range of remote hills overlooking the vastness of Lake Kariba.

The next two days are spent exploring Lake Kariba with game viewing by boat and 4WD in the Matusadona National Park plus excellent fishing opportunities. Birdlife is prolific and walking safaris a highlight.

Fly to the private 128,000-hectare Sapi Private Reserve. It borders the Mana Pools National Park to the west and forms part of a mission to convert vast tracts of Africa into pure conservation land. It is now recognised as one of the finest wildlife destinations in Africa today. Stay at the luxurious Tembo Plains Camp, tucked away into a thick riverine forest on the edge of the Zambezi River. Activities on offer include day and night drives, boating, canoeing and guided walks.

Enjoy two days exploring this beautiful part of the world, renowned for its large numbers of elephant, buffalo, hippo and eland. Predators such as lion, leopard and wild dog are also found here. Birdlife is superb, particularly for both mopane woodland and riverine species.
