Fly northeast to Iguazu, landing on the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. Bordering Brazil and Argentina, the falls are located in lush Iguazu National Park — a vast forest that is home to rare bird species, such as macaws, toucans and parrots, as well as monkeys, caimans, armadillos and the ever-elusive jaguar. Explore the Argentine side of the falls, starting with a train ride. Disembark to trek along pathways to the top of the waterfalls to take in spectacular views and bask in a natural setting filled with orchids, colourful birds and endemic wildlife. Proceed to a suspended platform at the brink of Devil’s Throat, the largest cascade in Iguazu National Park, to experience the immense power of the water up close.
