Journey Highlights
On arrival into Cairns, make your way via the spectacularly scenic Captain Cook Highway to Silky Oaks Lodge, located on the banks of the gently flowing Mossman River. Enveloped by the leafy canopy of the ancient Daintree Rainforest, the lodge will entreat you with a cornucopia of natural sights, sounds and smells.
Settle into your secluded suite, bedecked by its own private balcony, daybed and hammock. Perhaps take a cooling plunge in the invigorating waters before indulging in the lodge’s signature drinks hour with canapés. You’ll enjoy a delectable dinner in the towering treehouse restaurant paired with stunning wines and often infused with local indigenous flavours.

Today your guide accompanies you on a private exploration of the Daintree Rainforest, dramatic Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. Walk through tree-clad mountains to the spell-blinding beauty of the Mossman Gorge, hearing secrets of the enchanting rainforest and its unique indigenous wildlife and ecosystem.
Take a swim if you wish before journeying on to the Daintree River, home to hundreds of large vivid cassowaries and saltwater crocodiles. Cross the river by ferry to Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef, and enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the Daintree Heritage Lodge.
Delight in an afternoon sugar hit at the Daintree Ice Cream Factory before continuing to the foothills of Mount Alexandra and the Jindalba boardwalk. Listen as your guide imparts expert knowledge of the million-year evolution of the lowland forest – a living museum of rare flora and fauna.

Perhaps join the early morning yoga class, explore the Fig Tree Rapids walk, take a kayak down the Mossman River, or enjoy a leisurely swim with a snorkel to experience life beneath the translucent surface. Awake to fresh oxygen and a delectable breakfast, before making your way to Cairns Airport for your flight to remote and exclusive Lizard Island. On arrival you’ll be welcomed by your friendly host and transferred to your room, hugged by lush and tropical gardens, with serene meandering pathways to beautiful Anchor Bay beach.
Once settled in, curate the next three days as you please (bookings for some activities essential). Choose from spectacular snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, beautiful nature walks through pristine mangroves, and picnics on deserted beaches. For an extra charge, consider a full degustation on a private beach at sunset, expertly paired with the Cellar Master List, or perhaps take a boat trip to scuba dive or fish in the outer reef.
