A warm A&K welcome on arrival in the Cape and assistance to the Taj Cape Town. This opulent hotel resides in the heart of the city centre, occupying a splendid historical edifice that once housed the South African Reserve Bank. The meticulously restored interior exudes stately refinement, featuring magnificent marble stonework, fluted columns, high ceilings and Art Deco touches. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or enjoy the hotel amenities including lush manicured gardens and an intimate plunge pool.

Enjoy a full day tour of Cape Town. Head off for an ascent by aerial cableway up Cape Town’s iconic Table Mountain (weather permitting) for unparalleled views of the city and Atlantic Ocean. Afterwards, enjoy an orientation in the history of Cape Town with a leisurely walk through the tranquil Company Gardens before a visit to the pentagonal Castle of Good Hope, one of the oldest buildings in South Africa. Built by the Dutch East India Company as a maritime refreshment station, it later became the centre of military life in the cape.
End your day with a visit to the bustling Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Built around the old harbour, this popular precinct is unique in terms of being a working harbour while still boasting a varied selection of eclectic shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.

Venture south for Cape Point, past the picture-perfect beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, beautifully located at the base of the towering Twelve Apostles Mountains. Descend into Hout Bay valley, with its bustling fishing harbour and on to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at the end of the Cape Peninsula, home to a number of rare species including bontebok antelope, eland and Cape Mountain zebra. Head to the viewing point to look out for whales, dolphins and sea birds before continuing on to visit Boulders, a lovely beach famous for its colony of endangered Jackass Penguins.

Fly from Cape Town to Hoedspruit where you are met on arrival and transferred by road to Kapama Southern Camp in the Kapama Private Game Reserve, offering an exceptional game-viewing safari experience. This afternoon, set off in search of Africa’s iconic species — elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard — and other wildlife. To enhance your game-viewing experience, each game drive is led by two safari professionals: a driver-guide, trained to safely manoeuvre you up close to South Africa’s wild residents as well as brief you on any given species’ characteristics, and a tracker, an expert at identifying animals, following their signs and predicting where they are likely to be found.
Kapama Southern Camp | Meals: BLD
Begin two days of immersion in your private game reserve, embarking on morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles for optimum viewing, as well as optional early morning game walks with your ranger. This region of Africa is noted for its high density of wildlife, which often appear just steps in front of you. As you explore, learn about the flora and fauna as well as basic tracking skills.
At dusk, stop for a sundowner, and then search for nocturnal animals. Return to your lodge for dinner.

A short flight this morning to Kruger International Airport for a connecting flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to The Palm River Hotel, an exclusive boutique retreat situated on the banks of the renowned Zambezi River. From the comfort of your own private balcony, you’ll be able to relax and observe myriad wildlife approach the river to have a drink, or graze on the banks of the Zambezi.

This morning experience a guided tour of the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls. The mighty Zambezi River plunges over 100 metres into a narrow gorge, sending spray hundreds of metres high. No photograph can begin to depict the reality, and nothing can prepare you for your first humbling sight.
This afternoon, set out on a cruise on the Zambezi River. View hippo, crocodile and exotic birdlife, and discover how, after an unforgettable African sunset, a magical charm settles over the river. DInner is included at your hotel this evening.
