This inspiring journey takes a privileged look at the prolific wildlife as well as the diverse and dramatic landscapes of Botswana. Explore the wildlife-rich Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park, renowned for its vast herds of elephant and an array of other wildlife, as well as the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, a complete contrast to the verdant landscapes of the Okavango. Game viewing is offered by 4WD vehicle, boat and sometimes on foot. The companionship of outstanding safari guides combined with the sublime comforts of our hand-picked camps and lodge delivers an unforgettable safari experience.
Journey Highlights
Arrive in Johannesburg, where you are met and transferred to your hotel, a short walk from the terminal building.
City Lodge O.R. Tambo International Airport
This morning make your own way back to the terminal and check-in for your flight to Kasane, Botswana. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your safari lodge, the only one located inside Botswana’s world-renowned Chobe National Park, famous for its massive herds of elephant and buffalo. Settle into your spacious, river-facing accommodations. This afternoon, set out on a Chobe River safari, watching as elephants line the water’s edge, hippos congregate in lagoons and predators come down to quench their thirst. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Chobe Game Lodge | Meals: BLD
Today, embark on morning and afternoon game drives, starting with an early morning safari, arriving ahead of most visitors, thanks to your lodge’s ideal location, to see predators at their most active. Explore along the Chobe River as your experienced guide interprets the bush signs and tracks in search of the resident wildlife. Watch for elephants, huge herds of buffalo and plenty of predators such as lions, wild dogs and even leopards.
This afternoon head out on another boat cruise or visit the park again on an afternoon drive.

Following a morning game viewing activity (time permitting), transfer to Kasane Airport for your onward flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world. Settle in before your afternoon safari adventure. Observe how this region, known as one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana due to its varied ecosystems, draws remarkable birds and wildlife, including the Africa’s iconic species such as elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo.
Camp Moremi | Meals: BLD
Spend two full days exploring the Okavango Delta. Each morning and afternoon, set out on game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and explore forests, wetlands, and savannahs in search of elephant, leopard, lion, and cheetah as well as wild dog and antelope. You may also have the opportunity to cruise on the Xaxanaka Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by motorboat looking for pods of hippos and some of the prolific bird and aquatic life.
Camp Moremi | Meals: BLD
Following a morning game viewing activity (time permitting), you will be transferred to the airstrip for your onward flight to the enchanting Camp Okavango located on remote Nxaragha Island, offering a year-round water wilderness experience.

Enjoy a full day at Camp Okavango with morning and afternoon game viewing activities. Roam the vast expanses of water from the comfort of a modern motorboat or explore the intricacies of the Delta the old fashioned way, in the traditional contours of the Mokoro. For those looking to get a little closer to nature, guided bush walks are conducted on a number of the nearby islands, offering an opportunity to track some of the larger land-based species that inhabit this water wilderness.
Camp Okavango | Meals: BLD
Following a morning game viewing activity (time permitting), you will be met by your representative and transferred to the airstrip for your onward flight to the remote Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, one of the largest areas of saltpans in the world. Your accommodation, Leroo La Tau is situated high on the western bank of the Boteti River offering exceptional views and the opportunity to witness large concentrations of wildlife from the lodge.
After settling in enjoy a late afternoon enjoy a game viewing activity around the lodge.

The Makgadikgadi is a relic of one of the world's largest super-lakes, which dried up thousands of years ago as a result of the continued shifting of the earth's crust. Navigating the vast plains by day, you may encounter an array of plains game and predators, including herds of springbok, gemsbok, leopard and red hartebeest, while night drives brush by packs of the edgy brown hyena, bat eared foxes and the elusive black-maned Kalahari lion. You may also be lucky to sight the three white rhinos that frequent the area.
Spend two days exploring this remarkable national park, enjoying morning and afternoon game viewing activities including game drives, night drives, unique nature walks with a local Zu/'hoasi Bushman and the possibility of an excursion to the local village, Khumaga. Depending on water levels, boat activities may also be possible.

Following a morning game viewing activity, transfer to the airstrip for your onward flight to Maun, and then onto Johannesburg where your journey ends.
