For nearly 60 years, we have been delivering show-stopping safaris to discerning travellers showcasing the best Kenya has to offer.
With over 40 national parks and reserves playing host to abundant wildlife, snow-capped mountains, vast salt lakes and bustling cities, this mesmerising country is one of the world’s most iconic travel destinations and it’s where the A&K story began.
Each corner of the country is distinct with rare appeal, diverse landscapes and rich wildlife: from the rough and rugged terrain of Samburu Game Reserve in the north to the private reserves of Laikipia; the sparkling Rift Valley lakes and wild Meru National Park; Amboseli Game Reserve in the shadow of Mt Kilimanjaro and the wide open plains of the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, home to the greatest wildlife show on earth – The Great Migration. And there are beautiful palm-lined beaches of soft sand with coral reefs to explore.
On an A&K luxury safari to Kenya, you’ll travel beyond the well-trodden path to private reserves where the wildlife is abundant and the viewing experience uncrowded and intimate. Conservation minded camps and lodges are handpicked to ensure your footprint is light and that impact on the surrounding environment is minimal. Kenya has a rich conservation tradition which A&K has been an integral part of for decades. And as an A&K guest you can visit and participate in some of A&K Philanthropy’s inspirational community and conservation projects.

Experience the awe-inspiring natural phenomenon that is the Great Migration, when nearly two million wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra and Thomson’s gazelle make the year-long, round-trip trek in search of water and fresh grasses, while apex predators such as lion, cheetah and crocodile eagerly await their every move.
The traditions of the Maasai have sustained their people for countless generations, forging a deep bond with the land and its wildlife. Experience for yourself some of these customs as a local tribe member reveals the cultural significance of beading and storytelling. Then, try your hand at the age-old bush skills of fire-making, archery and spear throwing.
In the foothills of Mount Kenya, the 62,000-acre Lewa Wildlife Conservancy supports over 440 species of birds and more than 70 mammals including lion, leopard, zebra, cheetah, elephant and a significant rhino population. Get up close to some of these magnificent animals on a guided walking safari through magnificent grasslands and acacia woodland.
Tucked between Tsavo and Amboseli National Parks, the Chyulu Hills National Park surrounding Ol Donyo Lodge, provides the perfect riding terrain of rolling hills, volcanic cones and grassy plains with towering Mt Kilimanjaro in the distance. Saddle up and experience an exhilarating mounted safari with encounters in store of elephant and giraffe, zebra, gazelle, warthog and more.
A country of extraordinary landscapes, Kenya is also rich in wildlife and culture and a tailor-made helicopter safari is the perfect way to gain privileged access for just you and your travelling companions to iconic wilderness areas, breathtaking natural wonders and enriching cultural encounters in places rarely seen by others.
Join a specially trained guide to learn about and track the lions of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, contributing to conservation efforts as you do. Help researchers gather vital information needed to monitor collared lions, first locating a pride, and then identifying individual animals using tell-tale characteristics, during a fascinating wildlife experience in the foothills of Mount Kenya.
Take off in a hot air balloon with your expert pilot for a bird’s-eye view of the Masai Mara or Serengeti wilderness. Gain a stunning new perspective on these timeless landscapes, capturing once-in-a-lifetime photographs and taking in far more than you could ever hope to experience on land.
Meet the last two northern white rhinos left on our planet - Najin and Fatu - in central Kenya’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Hear the amazing story of how the pair were transported from a Czech Republic zoo and learn about the incredible efforts being made to save this species from extinction.

Located on the equator, Kenya is warm year-round, however expect it to be cool in the early morning and at night — particularly if you are on a safari.
There are two rainy seasons — from April to May and in November; it is typically dry and hot the rest of the year. The annual wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara occurs between July and October, depending on the timing of the rainy seasons.
