Sun City Camp sits in the heart of the Wadi Rum desert, approximately 50 kilometres from Aqaba. Wadi Rum is home to around 5,000 Bedouins, who still maintain their semi-nomadic lifestyle. They’re friendly and quite often invite guests to join them for coffee. The best way to see Wadi Rum is by 4x4 and exploring with your local guide.
All the different tent options combine privacy and authenticity with mountain views. Bedrooms are comfortable and modern, with private bathroom facilities. Some have the option of living room area and outdoor terrace as well. While the Martian Domes offer a unique and more modern style, complete with air conditioning and allow you to view the spectacular desert sky from your own bed.
The camp offers fine hospitality, with traditional Arabic dishes and live entertainment. There’s often a buffet with a selection of mezes and salads as well as some local and traditional dishes. The dining area is decorated with colourful carpets and low seating, and the campfire is lit every night. There’s also a wide choice of relaxing and adventurous activities including jeep tours, camel rides, relaxing meditation, hiking, climbing and hot-air balloon rides – many of which can be arranged at sunrise or set.
